Inspiration - Govindpuri Sound by Dr Tom Rice
Really excited to hear that Govindpuri Sound by friend of Fieldwork and sound anthropologist Dr Tom Rice got pick of the week on Radio 4 this Sunday. Tom takes a trip to Govindpuri and explores what the slum sounds like and how it reflects local culture.
We record sound as part of our gathering process to add another layer to our ethnographic research. The sounds are used during the exhibit stage to bring to life the culture of the workplace and to help people tell their stories. You can hear a sample of one of our soundscapes here.
